The Testing Station performs tests and measurements of transformers in the following areas:

• measurement of magnetic current,
• measurement of leakage reactance,
• measurement of winding resistance,
• measurement of the transmissions,
• checking the connection group,
• measurement of insulation resistance,
• measurement of no-load losses and current,
• measurement of load losses and short-circuit voltage,
• zero sequence impedance test,
• induced voltage test,
• applied voltage test,
• impulse voltage test,
• acoustic measurements of partial discharge,
• electrical measurements of partial discharge,
• measurements of sound pressure level
• testing mechanical integrity of windings using SFRA,
• testing moisture content of solid insulation using FDS,
• measurement of dielectric loss factor tg D and capacity of the windings,
• testing on-load tap changer (measurement of the connector asynchronicity opening times, measurement of tap selector cage continuity),
• infrared measurements.

The Oil Laboratory conducts tests of electrical insulating oils in the following areas:

• water content using K. Fischer method,
• breakdown voltage,
• dielectric loss factor tg D at different temp.,
• resistivity at different temp.,
• flash point,
• acid number,
• density at 20°C,
• kinematic viscosity,
• content of impurities,
• chromatographic analysis of gases dissolved in oil (DGA).
